architecture as sculpture

The Bloch Gallery at the Nelson, of course.  I love this building.  Sure, it's best at dusk and after, when lit but during the day, it still shows very well, for sure.

Lichtenstein at the High

This is a shot of the High Art Museum's garden in Atlanta between buildings, which is also the space they put their Roy Lichtenstein piece.  I thought it made a good shot and the piece itself is a lot of fun.  I'll post more in days to come.

Favorite part of town

From the Bloch Gallery of Contemporary Art, here in town, of course.  The "Theme Day" for today--for March, really--on City Daily Photo is "Your Favorite Part of Town."  I have more than one but this is certainly one of them, for sure.  I shot this when the gallery first opened in the Summer of 2008.

Imbalance

This week's theme on the vfxy photography site is--you guessed it--"imbalance".  I thought it another good excuse to highlight the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum and our shuttlecocks by Coosje Van Bruggen.  I shot this December 1, 2009 on the way to work, for what it's worth.

Have a great weekend, y'all.

As we (in Kansas City) all know, the Nelson-Atkins Art Gallery, at dawn.  (Click on picture for bigger, better viewing).
