Busy Bees

Ready for the ice.

And sleet.

And snow.

late Summer

My daughter actually shot this. I loved how it turned out. (Imagine that).

Lathrop & Gage

A favorite from last year. I enjoyed the results.

Autumn sky

Shot 2 years ago up in Briarcliff at a friend's home.

A Sunday, end of day, Raytown, at the end of July from some great friends' garden.

golden

Again, shot in Raytown at the end of a day of being at great friends' swimming pool (what we call "pooling").

Midtown Barbie

For some time this past May, Barbie was used--several of them--in the windows of the retail shop Morning Glory, on Westport Road.  I couldn't resist.

Old grass, new fence

I shot this in my neighborhood in Smithville at the end of March.  I saw it earlier in the season and meant to get it before this.  I was struck by the coincidence that this new fence and last season's pampas grass were the same color.  Being the beginning of Spring, there hasn't been that much color.  The rich, deep gold of it stood out in the area.

tree

This week's theme for "Theme Day" on vfxy is--you guessed it--"tree".  I shot this last Autumn at the Liberty Memorial here in town.  I liked the setting sun, the color, the blue and gold, and then the single person, walking from right to left in the corner.  I thought it added the interest it needed.  I liked the brilliant orange reflecting on the building in the left-hand corner, too.
