For those of us here in Kansas City, we know this as the very old New York Life building. I don't care who owns it, that's how I'm going to refer to it. I put up a shot of this a couple weeks ago. This is from that same shoot. I was trying to go for a different angle but also trying to come up with something that showed it's strength, structure and detail. I think I got it.

This sure is an elaborate building.
ReplyDeleteIt really is. I don't think we usually notice how elaborate it really is if we even get down there and look at the thing. We just see how beautiful and big it is and stop with that. Now that you mention it, I'd like to get up close to that edge at top and see how that was made. That seems like a lot of "gingerbread" for brick, doesn't it?
