some of my photography, mostly in and around the Kansas City area
That's a fine sign, the rust is perfect.
ReplyDeletethanks. I thought it was fun.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Where the heck is it? I'd like it if you gave us a little text identifying your images.
ReplyDeleteBob, you're the 2nd person to ask for that. My feeling is, I like this to be about the picture and the art and how it turns out and not about the details. This happens to be over on the East side of the city, on Truman Road, just beyond the Paseo. When I saw the guy, I immediately loved him and wanted to shoot him.
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's your blog and you should do it whatever way works best for you. CDPBers go both ways on this. At least one of my favorites, Gulminelli in Buenos Aires, never writes any text, although the title sometimes identifies the location. Eric in Elko writes little to none. Some, like Kim in Seattle and Virginia in Birmingham, write long descriptions. I often do a mini-essay, sometimes about the photo and sometimes not. I like to know the context of the shot. Just my point of view - it helps me understand its context in the city. Just keep posting good work like you have been doing.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great find, congrats !
ReplyDeleteThanks, Bob and Julien...
ReplyDeleteI love old signs and this one is just great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! KC ex-patriot Jack F.
ReplyDeleteIIRC, that sign was located at or near the Store Without a Name on Truman Road.
ReplyDeleteYes, it is.
