Small town Americana

I got this shot today, in Riverton, Kansas. It's down in the Southwest corner of the state and is only a little over an hour from Springfield.

It's a market (of some kind) and also, as here, in good weather, an open air restaurant. I thought it looked fantastic.  I couldn't stop for breakfast so I think I'll go back on a Saturday and just take in all the shade and peacefulness and quiet. It looks like quite the spot.  To me, anyway.

I thought it picture-perfect, figuratively and literally. Coincidentally, it really is on old Route 66, too, as the sign suggests.

Makes you want to go, doesn't it?  It does me. It looked and felt like a remnant of what some Mayberry, RFD would look and feel like.
