The theme for this week on vfxy is "Spring" so here you go.  I shot this last Spring in Eastern Jackson County out on a country road, East of Independence--who knows where.  All I know is it's great that it's finally sunny and milder, right?  These blooms and blossoms will soon be here.

Not that it really matters because it's potentially such a near-universally possible picture but this is from the lagoon in Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia last month.

Okay, I always used to just want to put up the photography only--no descriptions--so the photos would speak for themselves.  I've changed my mind.  I think a little background sometimes, if not all the time, might be helpful for viewers.  Anyway, this was shot in the first week of March, at sunset, down just off our Country Club Plaza, at the library building.
Funny thing was, I was shooting this because I liked the sunlight on the building against the sky when all of a sudden a security guard came out and said I couldn't do that.  Crazy.  "Okay, whatever."

Lichtenstein at the High

This is a shot of the High Art Museum's garden in Atlanta between buildings, which is also the space they put their Roy Lichtenstein piece.  I thought it made a good shot and the piece itself is a lot of fun.  I'll post more in days to come.

I think this one was my favorite of the series.  This was between the condominium where I was staying and the High Art Museum in Midtown.
I was walking along without my camera when I looked up and saw this.  I immediately knew I had to come back and shoot it.

I found this while walking in Piedmont Park in Atlanta Georgia, last month and loved it.  When I saw all the color and how different this is from what we have here in the area, I thought it might shoot well.

Favorite part of town

From the Bloch Gallery of Contemporary Art, here in town, of course.  The "Theme Day" for today--for March, really--on City Daily Photo is "Your Favorite Part of Town."  I have more than one but this is certainly one of them, for sure.  I shot this when the gallery first opened in the Summer of 2008.
